Family Movie Night Friday ~ Kung Fu Panda

Last Friday we watched Kung Fu Panda for our Family Movie Night. It was the first time any one us had seen the movie and it was cute. Jack Black is so funny as Po the panda & totally makes the movie!

Since one of the objectives of Family Movie Night is to save money, I purchased Tai Pei frozen meals from the grocery store instead of Chinese Take-Out. The Tai Pei dinners come packaged in a little take-out box and they were actually very tasty. The best part was that they were on sale at Publix Buy 1 Get 1 Free, so with coupons, I only paid $1.50 a meal.

The most fun was going to the local Asian Market to purchase Chinese candy. The kids went crazy for this! The candy was different from any of their favorites and the writing on the packaging was all in Chinese.

In honor of National Gummy Worm Day, tomorrow night we are watching How To Eat Fried Worms & having Dirt Cake with Gummy Worms for a special treat!
